Midweek Timeout
Each Wednesday for the next few weeks, I will be sharing books, talks and podcasts that help me in my role, provide support and guidance and titles that I would recommend. This weeks are:
- Gary Cookson – Making Hybrid Working Work - https://amzn.to/4s0twqN
Gary has previously curated the brilliant #AdventBlogs and describes himself as the “final boss of modern HR” which I love. He has written two books HR For Hybrid Working and Making Hybrid Working Work. These are a great resource for anyone in HR and well recommended.
- Pete Wharmby – Untypical – https://amzn.to/4j6Gten
This is a brilliantly written, accessible and clear book which explains who the world around us is built for neurotypicals and provides as a guide to understand the world for autistic people and steps we can complete to make this a better world for all. Again, well recommended.
- Nelson Silvalingam – Learning at Speed - https://amzn.to/4pSeceg
I bought this book after attending a conference where Nelson was presenting. This is a wonderfully written book which highlights how the world around us is changing fast, and in fact faster since the book was written. It provides a framework for L&D practitioners to focus on results using data. A brilliant book.
See you next Wednesday for more resources. Thanks for reading.
Couple of books on the shelf.
